Normally as the year ends I have a whole set of goals for the new year in mind already. This year I couldn’t think of specific things I wanted to devote brain space to.  There are so many goals and hopes for this website and podcast that I am suffering a sort of ‘goal paralysis’, too many goals not enough brain space. I’ve forced myself to sit down and get some things out on paper.

I highly suggest the book ‘The Happiness Project‘ by Gretchen Rubin (I suggested this book in my gift guide– I truly love it).  She talks of her own project to make small changes every month to equal bigger changes in her overall happiness.  If you start reading it before New Years you’ll feel more prepared.  I really suggest setting goals or something to work towards for the new year.  In my New Years podcast episode Erin Sisson will be on talking about how to ease into January, focusing on attainable goals and more.

The podcast will be taking a week off this next week but we’ll be back with more episodes as soon as January hits. Look forward to the ‘Ease into January’ episode with Erin and Mississippi Vegan as the first two episodes in January. If there is something you want to know about or someone you want to hear on an episode- shoot me a comment, email, tweet, or instagram message, I’m all ears!

Here’s some links I’m enjoying from around the web this week.

Sometimes you’re lucky and there’s ‘accidentally vegan’ food at a party, here’s 10 foods you didn’t know where vegan.

Does this article make you mad, because it sure did for me! The title is so misleading, and the facts are pretty all over the place. We need more logical minds, and less fake news. Read for yourself.

An article on this week’s Podcast topic. Yes, yes, it is healthy! (Also, thanks for the nice feedback on this week’s Podcast with Sarah Lemkus!)

Did you make any of this ‘viral’ vegan recipes?

One of my favorite books for meditation & mindfulness, also a great gift, is perfect for this overwhelming time of year. Plus its like $2.50 on Amazon.

A great story on a vegan entrepreneur.

Make your holiday party more eco friendly with these tips. I would add get a fake tree, tell people its an ‘eco conscious’ gathering (people love a theme), and let people know creative recycled wrapping is encouraged.

Are you considering Veganuary? There’s no time like the present.

Today is the last day to enter our last ‘kind giveaway’ for December. This week its a huge bag of Garden of Life Organic Plant Protein, a $25 value. Enter on instagram for your chance to win.
