Welcome to another Friday morning. It’s finally starting to cool down a bit where I live and I’ve sprinkled, ok dumped, a bunch of colder weather recipes and things into this week’s roundup. I’m excited about the prospect of cozy layers and chili eating to come.

What do you think of the PETA campaign in Detroit? It’s causing quite the stir, with some calling it senseless and racist. Here’s the rebuttal message that PETA put out, “Many of us feel powerless in the face of violence, and choosing vegan meals is one way that each of us can make the world a kinder and more peaceful place.” What’s your stance?

Hot tea season is here, I recently upgraded my tea/coffee situation with this electric kettle, hoping to save resources since our stove top takes forever, and have been amazed at how fast it heats up. If only I could speed up my whole morning routine.
Its always nice to see a celeb spreading the word about veganism in a positive, attainable way. OITNB star Danielle Brooks made vegan mac and cheese on The Chew, the message she shares on ‘why vegan’ is great.
