Happy Friday!  Here are some links from around the web of this week’s vegan happenings.  I’ve gathered together some recipes I made this past week, some inspiration, and a little bit of vegan controversy, becasue what’s some good news without a little shake up.

Here are some links I’m enjoying from around the web this week.  Enjoy!

For some reason whenever Starbucks adds something vegan to their menu, people go crazy. This Brown Rice Bowl with lemon tahini dressing is no exception. What do you think, yay or nay?

A few weeks ago I finally pulled the trigger on a camper van, something we’ve been dreaming about and planning for for a long time. I talked all about my vegan travel plans, and how it would impact the podcast this week on the podcast, plus you can see pictures of it over on instagram.

If you’re looking for an example of how to talk to others about veganism, this man on the street is a great example of being calm, giving precise answers, and making valid points. Highly recommend this video from the Save Movement.

People are also ‘freaking’ out over Trader Joe’s new ‘Cold Brew Mocha Nut Latte’, which sounds pretty delicious with cashew and almond milk, dates, vanilla, and cinnamon. This would also be easy to make at home if like me you can’t ever find a parking spot at Trader Joe’s.

Eric’s wonderful Aunt just sent me this ‘Vegan in 15‘ book which has recipes you can make in 15 minutes. I’m totally a ‘quick’ cook so this is right up my alley.

It’s ‘Plastic Free July’, so I bought this stainless tumbler for my coffee obsessed husband.  Every little change makes a big difference in the zero waste movement.

Cabbage has been something I can’t get enough of lately, this ‘Kale Stir Fry‘ with cabbage & carrots looks delicious.

The new ‘Vegan Flag‘ is here and is creating a lot of controversy.  What do you think? To flag or not to flag?

I made this ‘Enchilada Power Bowl‘ for dinner the other night and it was a fantastic departure from the ‘burrito bowls’ we have nearly every week. Slightly spicy, yet balanced with the maple-y, peanut buttery tofu and creamy avocado, this bowl is staying in my go-to recipes.

A very interesting study shows that Millennials want vegan and gluten free options in the work place. This is probably pretty obvious but also interesting is what they said in the article about bringing in donuts to work (which happens at my office quite regularly).

Netflix created this ‘Before and After‘ of watching Okja- have you watched yet?

It made national news that a man brought a vegan women a bouquet of kale and collard greens on a second date.
