Why go vegan?’ is a big question most vegans get. Veganism started in a health way for me, when I first went vegan it was for a 30 day challenge. As I continued to do more and more research I kept coming upon the animal cruelty and environmental hazards of animal agriculture. Through continued learning I realized I could not go back to consuming animal products. The diet I was trying, plant based, turned into a belief system for me once I connected all the dots of research.

I wanted to gather all this important information into one place for you guys.  This page will always be changing and evolving, but this is the first iteration. With all of the information of whats behind the choice of going vegan, it’s much easier to stay vegan for the long term.

If you don’t have time to go through the links, I highly suggest: 60 seconds of factory farming, Food Inc, and Speciesism: The Movie.  Also, the speech below by Gary Yourofsky has been known to enlighten many people.
